Welcome to the Supplement Donations group! I will be updating this part of the forum to inform you of my ideas for projects for Supplement Donations in Eastern WA. Some ideas will have specific details than other general ideas. Before any money is spent on a project idea, as a professional RDN, I will conduct a community needs assessment to determine what the most evidence-based product would be to purchase for my patient population using donated funds.

In this Forum Group you will be able to find resources if you're currently experiencing Food Insecurity. It is my goal to help organize resources available to help ease people's anxiety who are struggling to eat enough Nutrients in a day here in the United States of America.

To view approved retailers for SNAP Assistance, click this link to find the USDA's SNAP retail locator. You type the street address of a grocery store, gas station, or pharmacy to see if they accept EBT Cards : https://www.fna.usda.gov/snap/retailer-locator

Look-up the address online via google for a store you're wondering accepts SNAP Benefits then put that address into the USDA's SNAP retailer locator. It operates very similar to Google Maps.

The FNA ( Food & Nutrition Administration ) Publishes a Schedule list of all States & Territories in the United States of America for the Re-Issuance of SNAP EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer). If you have questions about when you should receive money every month into your SNAP EBT Government Account, then you should look at the USDA's FNA List by clicking the Link Below.

If you would like to talk to someone in person about your SNAP EBT Account, or talk to a representative about housing assistance, you can go to one of Washington State's State Department of Social & Health Service Offices (DSHS Office).

SNAP is a Federal Resource Available to qualifying individuals to receive a monthly donation for free to help pay for their food expenses. SNAP Income Qualifications are based on the Thrifty Food Plan written by USDA Government Regulators in the United States of America.

In Washington State you can apply for SNAP and receive a letter from County Offices that lists how much money you will receive on the Washington Connection's Website : https://www.washingtonconnection.org/home/

If you are approved for monthly donations, you will receive an EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer ) Card in the mail that works like a debit card. Instead of this card using your own funds, every time you make a purchase with your EBT Card the money will pull from your Government EBT Washington Connections Account.
