An important educational discussion to have with a Patient experiencing a Chronic Nutrition related Disease / Condition, like Type 2 DM (DMT2), is to inform someone that an ingredients placement on the list of ingredients on the Nutrition Facts Label actually tells the consumer how much product is in the food/drink in comparison to the other ingredients. Ingredients listed first on the ingredients list are concentrated in higher amounts in the food product/drink. This means that products that list Sugary ingredients before health promotional ingredients on the food / drinks ingredients list may not be as healthy as advertised in the food products / drinks Marketing Campaign.
